Caring for Whenua, Building Resilient Ecosystems

Our work is rooted in ecological science, kaitiakitanga, and a deep respect for the land. We partner with communities across Tāmaki  Makaura to restore and protect the natural environments that sustain us all.

What drives us

At Toitū Taiao, we restore and protect the natural environments that sustain our communities. Our work is rooted in ecological science, kaitiakitanga, and a deep respect for the whenua. We partner with landowners, councils, iwi, and community groups to rejuvenate degraded landscapes, enhance biodiversity, and return balance to ecosystems impacted by human activity. Every project we undertake is guided by the belief that healthy natural systems are necessary for healthy people and thriving communities.

We deliver end-to-end ecological restoration solutions, combining practical fieldwork with long-term planning and monitoring. Whether we are restoring riparian margins, protecting wetlands, or re-establishing native forest, our approach is grounded in care, precision, and proven methodology. We aim to create resilient, self-sustaining ecosystems that will endure for generations.

Together, we create landscapes that are healthier, stronger, and truly toitū — everlasting.
